The drama represents the time of 1980s and revolves around the people in a village. Shano is a girl who believes in her childhood engagement and wants to marry her fiancé whom she has not seen for many years. On the other hand, Khalil doesn’t feel the same way about his engagement and is not so serious about making it a reality.
The story becomes interesting when Shano and Khalil meet after years and fall in love. But later Shano’s mother doesn’t want them to get married due to some issues of the past.

Dukhtar is a 2014 film based on the serious topic of child marriages. Allah Rakhi played by the amazing Samiya Mumtaz is not happy with her ten-year-old daughter Zainab’s marriage to a much older tribal leader. Her husband fixed the marriage of his daughter to make peace between the rival tribes.
Allah Rakhi was herself married at the age of fifteen by her family and she doesn’t want her daughter to go through the same trauma. She flees in hopes of safely reaching Lahore with her daughter and is on the run because the tribal men are after them. She manages to get a lift from a truck driver Sohail played by Mohib Mirza.
The story is eye-opening and deals with the complexities of child marriage. Dukhtar is a film you won’t regret watching because of the issue it has highlighted.
8. Teefa in Trouble
Teefa in Trouble is a comedy movie that tops the rankings of one of the best comedy films made in Pakistan. The star cast includes Ali Zafar and Maya Ali.
Teefa played by Ali Zafar is witty and charming; he is given the job of kidnapping Anya (Maya Ali) by a local gangster named Butt Sahab. Anya is the daughter of Butt Sahab’s childhood friend Bonzo who is a multi-millionaire based in Poland.
Butt Sahab wants Anya to marry his son but Bonzo declines the proposal which enrages Butt Sahab and he orders Teefa to kidnap Anya. Teefa saw the opportunity of making money and agrees to it but things take a turn when he falls in love with Anya.
