Pakistan Super League is a Twenty20 competition organized every year by the Pakistan Cricket board. The idea of the PSL emerged in 2007 during the regime of Dr Nasim Ashraf who was the chairman of PCB at that time. It took 8 eight years to settle with the plan. In 2016, the first edition of PSL came live featuring five teams from the major cities of Pakistan; Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta.
It’s a three-week tournament scheduled between February and March of every year. Till date, five editions have been completed. Now we’ll witness the most awaited PSL7 in 2022. This is the second time the league will be hosted in Pakistan. Before, the majority of the matches were hosted in the United Arab Emirates.
