On 10th January 2021, Pakistan plunges into darkness and within 30 minutes of the event, the nation produced 50,000 memes.

This tells how much time and skills our people have but the lack of resources limits their talent to memes only.

That’s why there’s an avid need for educational platforms where the youth can be directed to work and open opportunities for others.

And after Covid19, what can be best than training the youth for digital skills.

In consideration of this, the ministry of information technology and telecom along with the Punjab information technology board has introduced a national freelance training program for students.

It’s open to students all across Pakistan. The vision is to provide digital skills to the students so they can adapt to the changing job market of Pakistan.

The mission also includes empowering women and uplift economic growth through cutting-edge training.

Major courses offered on this platform include freelancing on different platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, Toptal, Freelancer, Truelancer, and more.

Apart from freelancing, you can also get hands-on training on content marketing and advertising, creative design and can also learn technical knowledge ranging from CSS and SQL to PHP and WordPress.

The NFTP training program has completed its two batches successfully and is now open for admissions for the third batch.

You can apply here for registration.

If you’re a successful freelancer and looking forward to training the youth, you can also apply to work with the team.

To register as a student, you need to be above 18 years of age, have your CNIC, and 14 years of education. The training period is of 3 months and requires your availability in all online sessions or classes for successful completion.

Since it’s a government-subsidized program so you can avail of a fee waiver of 70-100 percent. The fees can vary depending on the partner institute.

Earlier, the government also launched DigiSkills in Pakistan to teach people digital skills and it’s quite successful till now.

The NFTP initiative looks worth it for Pakistan’s growth. So, enroll for admission before the date ends.
