Heavy monsoon rains and melting glaciers have caused massive and deadly urban blood in one-third part of Pakistan. This shocking ongoing flood is the world’s deadliest urban flooding since the 2017’s South African floods. Pakistan has lost approximately 1,545 people, including 530 children. This is considered the most dangerous and destructive element and a factor of global warming humans have ever faced. Hence more than 546,288 people are in temporary camps, and 13 thousand plus are injured.
According to the National Flood Response Coordination Centre (NFRCC), the ongoing flood has caused 40 billion loss. There has been a high alert and state of emergency since 25 August all over Pakistan. Moreover, former fields, roads and all agricultural areas have been destroyed in the past few months by these deadliest floods, mostly in Balochistan. Around 568,817 houses have been destroyed. This brings Pakistan to the verge of losing agricultural resources.
Flood Relief Help in Pakistan
The after-effects of the urban flood have brought several waterborne diseases, including dengue, Malaria, gastro, diarrhoea and skin infections. To prevent these diseases and curb major effects, local government officials and NGOs are working day and night. Plus, well-known international organisations are also operating and donating millions to help Pakistan get back on track.
Former Prime Minister Pakistan and PTI chairman Imran khan raised around 500 crores (22 million) through telethon transmission. Likewise, Pakistan’s largest telecom and internet services provider, PTCL groups, have announced to donate approximately 1.75 billion to help flood victims and save lives.
Besides, well-known international organisations are helping in facing this colossal effect of global warming. For the sake of people’s help, the World Bank has allocated around 370 million, and World Health Organisation has also sent help along with 10 million to support relief efforts.

Conclusion
After 12 years, again, we have to face these floods. However, we can help more people this time because of the various NGOs and social media awareness. In Sindh, there are almost 638 people who have lost their lives. On the other hand, in Punjab, the death ratio has reached 200.
Similarly, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have suffered a lot. On that account, the best we can do is donate as much as possible. Nowadays, the camps working for flood relief in Pakistan are near our homes and offices. So, why not take a step and get through this tough time together?
