Today, I went to the hospital to test myself against the Coronavirus, but the scenes I witnessed there made me more grounded on earth.

I thank my Lord for giving me the moment because if I wouldn’t have visited the hospital, I’ll forever be on the sky with the thoughts that my life is “perfect”.

But sadly my life is not about me only; it’s connected to the people. It’s connected to my parents, my siblings, my nephews, my friends, and my relatives. I deeply care about everyone, and I realize this today when I saw people running for their lives, panicking to save their loved ones from the COVID waves.

No one wants to die this way, people have dreams, they plan for life, but the chaos in the hospital reminded that this world will end and nothing will last forever. Surely, life belongs to the Almighty, and he will take it when the time comes. And when my soul will fly to him, it’s only my people who will pray for me.

And how can I be so blind about not caring for them?

They say you shouldn’t worry because this Corona will only affect the people over 70 but how can I tell you that my elderly parents are the most beloved to me. I can risk my life, but I can’t lose theirs.

My kind words also go to the doctors who are working 24/7 like the brave soldiers to calm the situation, not worrying about their lives. I wonder if I would be at their place, I would have hidden in the corner because I can’t suffer the pain, I can’t fight it, but they are doing. The whole life isn’t enough to thank them for the efforts they are doing today.

My condolences are also to the ones who have lost their loved ones in their COVID battle; you are strong; you proved it by giving your beloved life in the battle.

And to those who are fighting this battle, I pray may it all pass soon, and we all get a chance to live up our dreams and make beautiful moments with our people.

If I survive this battle, I promise I’d never take mother nature for granted. She will be my best friend. I’ll protect the animals, I’ll plant trees, I’ll care for my people, I’ll be more human, and I’ll care more about my hygiene.

I promise, I promise, I promise and I want to survive this battle to apply the lessons I learned from this pandemic.
