That’s what the novel “Jab Zindagi Shuru Hogi” is all about. It’s a story of a preacher Abdullah who lived his life teaching people about Islam, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the Holy Quran.
When his time comes, he woke up in heaven accompanied by the angel Saleh. Saleh takes him on the journey hereafter where people were suffering because of their bad deeds in the world.

Since Abdullah had lived a simple life and tried to keep himself apart from bad deeds, he was invited to meet the noble people Sahabah, Anmbia, Shuhada, Companions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and other influential Muslims who have dedicated their life for Islam.
But being a preacher himself, Abdullah was unable to save his son on the day of judgement who suffered the punishment because of turning his back to his parents. Not only his son but also his daughter, who used to be friend with a girl who believed life is everything and took prayers and fast for granted.
Next, he meet the political leaders who were given the responsibility to manage the country but they thought of making wealth for themselves and worked to worsen the countries state. They were also begging Allah for forgiveness but nothing saved them.
When the people were handed over their Nama e Amal, they were full of shame and regrets but they can’t do anything then.
On the other hand, the writer has also drawn a beautiful description of heaven. The concept of having a home in Jannah with your loved ones, living your life to the fullest and fulfilling all desires that one has always avoided in life attract readers to struggle for Paradise.
The book is written by Abu Yahya; a Pakistani writer and scholar. He has written more than a dozen and half books with the purpose to connect people with the creator. Jab Zindagi Shuru Hogi is one of his most popular books which has gained recognition because of its eye-opening story. It’s a masterpiece of Urdu Literature and it remains interesting till the last page.
The novel is a life-changer and has played an important role in turning people towards Allah. Since, being a Muslim our real-life starts after death, we are accountable for everything we do on earth. This life is a test on which we will be given rewards on the day of judgement.
The writer took it as his responsibility to wake up people before it gets too late. It’s a must-read for everyone, once in a lifetime.
