How many times do we feel that now is the time to end our life because we can’t handle grief?
There are so many stories of people who don’t stand up for their life after losing their loved ones. Internet is full of it. That’s because losing someone you love, shattered you into pieces and you find it impossible to gather the courage and start living.
Today, we want you to meet Talat Fatima who’s a motivation for many people. She lost her husband right after two months of marriage. But rather than taking the loss to heart, she started teaching to earn her livelihood.
Another tragedy that hit her home was the loss of other family members due to Covid. But this too couldn’t stop her from being on her own.
After 25 years of teaching at school, she started her homemade food business so she doesn’t remain dependent on others even her nephews and nieces. She told in an interview that her family don’t mind helping her but since our religion emphasizes on being a giver and not a taker. That’s why I want to stand on my own.
In the pandemic year 2020, she started her food business to serve people for lunch and regular meals. Her menu has all traditional items starting from light lunch orders to heavy meals including Chicken Karahi, Chicken Malai Boti, and Qeema.
Her venture Gaga’s Kitchen is her hope and a great way to tell people that one shouldn’t stop living regardless of their circumstances.
Talat is a great example for everyone who begs people for their bread and butter. Indeed there’s no substitute for hard work and patience.
Reach out to her if you’re looking for homemade food anywhere in Karachi, Pakistan.
