For years, Pakistan has been struggling to venture into eCommerce. Fortunately, this pandemic has added to the rise of the eCommerce industry in the country. The steady growth of online shopping and grocery stores is a good sign of Pakistan adopting the digital medium. This is however necessary because if we still skip the digital, we’d be nowhere to be seen in the competition.

On the flip side, online shopping is also the need of the time. People can’t afford to join the crowd when it comes to the fear of getting sick.

Considering this, many businesses in Pakistan have evolved into an online grocery store, foodpanda and Airlift being top of them.

One has expected this from Foodpanda as they are already an eCommerce giant in Pakistan. But the Airlift transformation is quite surprising. Watching a bus-service app transforming into an online grocery store is a  perfect example of how to keep your business up in unprecedented times.

But do both of these recently launched services are keeping up to the customer expectations?

Well, in this blog we compared these two emerging online grocery stores in Pakistan so you don’t have to make the effort when it comes to shopping.

Let’s find who’s the best !!

1. Products

Both Airlift and Pandamart have a rich product category. From the breakfast and bakery items to all the cooking essentials, one can easily select on the app and order it at home. Not only this, they both offer pharmacy, pet care, health, and beauty items.

But in comparison, Airlift is ahead of Pandamart with its additional items like Grooming supplies, USB flash drives, mops, bins, and more.

2. Prices

There’s a small difference in pricing. Airlift is a little bit cheap as compared to Pandamart. In addition, there are greater items available on Airlift in every category whereas on Pandamart there are fewer.

For example, we compare the eggs and fruit prices on both groceries and reach a verdict that Pandamart is a bit pricey than Airlift Grocer.

3. Delivery Time

The delivery time of Pandamart is 30 minutes whereas Airlift is of 45 minutes.

Here, Pandamart takes the lead. 1-0

4. Delivery Area

Airlift is functional in all areas of Karachi and Lahore.

Pandmart is only functional in a few areas of Karachi such as DHA, Clifton, Bahadurabad, Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, North Karachi, Jauhar, and Gulshan but has plans to expand all over in Karachi.

5. Reviews

Just like Airlift bus services, the grocer app also has excellent reviews.

On Playstore also, customers have dropped satisfactory reviews of the app.

Here go the Pandamart reviews.

Since they have just entered into the grocery shopping, they are running it well. Discounts are also available.

6. Minimum Order Limit

With Pandamart, the order limit is Rs, 99 minimum.

While with Airlift, the minimum order limit is Rs, 500.

7. Payment Methods

Airlift Grocer Vs Pandamart; both allow cash on delivery and payment via Debit or Credit cards.

8. Discounts & Promos

Foodpanda is known for rewarding their regular customers with vouchers and promos. So, with their Pandmart service, they are also doing the same. You can avail flat 20% off on groceries with free delivery.

On Airlift Grocer, the delivery is free on Rs, 500 spendings or above. They are also offering referral credit to their customers. You can earn Airlift rewards anytime you refer to a friend and receive PKR 200 in referral credits.

9. Customer Complaints

Airlift Grocer has a feature for customers to record their complaints and send to them.

While on Pandamart, there’s no such option available yet.

10. App Interface

Both these apps don’t complicate their users and need only a few steps to get the items delivered.

Open the app, pick the items, add to cart, and check out.

Airlift Grocer VS Pandamart – In Conclusion

Pandamart is a service by Foodpanda whereas Airlift Grocer is a complete app whose only focus is grocery delivery.

Considering this, Pandamart is doing a great job in its early stage and has plans to evolve.

For now, Airlift is better in terms of prices, customer service, and product categories.

Have you shopped from them recently? How was the experience?
