Islamabad: Times Higher Education met with the government officials to present the updated rankings of Pakistani universities on 2nd Sept (Thursday). The rankings include Quaid-e-Azam University on the top. The list was followed by Hazra University, University of Malakand and also Peshawar.
This is for the first time in Pakistan’s education history that 21 universities were credited with the Times Higher Education World Rankings.
In the event, the Chief knowledge officer, Phil Baty and Chief Data Scientist, Dr Liz Shephard met with the Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood on 2nd Sept to present the 2022 university rankings.
Undoubtedly, there are many top universities in Pakistan that are working with great zeal to promote quality education. But with the addition of THE’s rankings, the reputation of the accredited universities will add more value to Pakistan.
THE officials also congratulated the Minister for the excellent performances of the Pakistani universities. The results were announced after analyzing 108 million citations and 4.4 million research publications.
They also added that the Pakistani institutions have shown great progress over the years and have become one of the fastest improving nations in terms of research citations and international outlook.
Shafqat Mehmood also took to Twitter to applause the universities for their great work.
